  1. Matteo's opened not too long ago in Lawrenceville. The food was very good and the atmosphere was relaxed. It is a bit on the small side, but it did not seem to get too busy. The prices were reasonable and everyone seemed to have enjoyed their meal. I had the salmon special which was made with jerk seasoning. I would recommend the Wainwrights for sure!

  2. We split 3 appetizers at Matteo's. I really enjoyed the mussels with horseradish sauce. The greens and beans and the bruschetta were good too. My entrée was pasta with Italian tuna, sun dried tomatoes and spinach. It was good basic pasta dish. We shared 3 desserts--the amaretto cake was the favorite. The food at Matteo's was solid but not especially creative. There is a great happy hour from 5-7 during the week and the specialty cocktails are 6$. Two thumbs up for the Wainwright martini

  3. Everything we had this night was good! The sauce on the Horsey Mussels was very light and flavorful. The greens and beans with sausage had just the right amount of head. For my dinner, I had the chicken parm. The chicken as not overly breaded and perfectly done. I wish I would have thought to get the vodka sauce on this, will have to go back to try that! Lastly, the chocolate cake was a tad dry, but the amaretto dessert was very light and good.

  4. Really enjoyed the food, but when it gets crowded it is very LOUD. I hope they fix this because it was a deal-breaker for us.
