Looking for somewhere different to dine in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area? Check us out! We get together once a month with a couple of rules...no repeats and no chain restaurants. We started in 2009 and are still going strong!
I have been wanting to try Cure for a long time now and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is very unique and laid back. The drink menu matched the atmosphere. I am not a huge fan of red meat - so I did go against the grain and had fish which was delicious. We did share a cured meat appetizer which gave me a good sampling of all that this restaurant had to offer. I will be going back here for sure and will actually get a steak.
I liked Cure too and think it is a great place for a group to go to be food adventurers. I liked the cured meat platter and the waitress was helpful in giving us a run down of what we were eating. The brussel sprout appetizer was really good too. I had the duck confit and enjoyed it. We split a chocolate souffle dessert which was excellent. The downside for me was the cost of the wine by the glass--the Malbec was $14 for a glass which is crazy high especially when the pour is not very generous. I guess the Straub beer would be the way to go to control the cost. It is only 1.50
